The Gift
Life is a beat
A drum on the beach
Stand in the sand
And you’ll hear the band
It’s simple, quite simple
All of it, quite enjoyable
Tough and good
A game of would, should, now could
A breadth speaks life
A death sparks strife
But even today, yes today
We live out His Way
To think we own
But it’s more a loan
Foolish ways of deserved thinking
When it’s all gifted, even blinking
So how to repay?
We don’t! It’s ok.
Acceptance is key
Simply love, that’s the fee
So we’re free!
Yes free, you and me!
Nothing to prove, nothing to lose
It’s all a gift, for Him to use!
