Hello everyone, My names Abby and welcome to my blog for the next few months!
Here’s a few interesting facts about me:
- I’m from Columbus, Ohio
- I just graduated high school in May 2019
- I am a writer/photographer
- I am a dancer and preschool gymnastics coach
I grew up in Christian home. Originally, I had accepted Christ when I was very young and was baptized when I was 7. However, in middle school I really began to question why I believed in Christ and whether or not I was truly saved, since I wasn’t sure that I understood what salvation was as a five year old. In those years I really began to rebel. I tested God constantly with anything and everything I knew would be considered a rebellious act.
As I got into high school, my rebellion was really beginning to catch up with me. At this point I was convinced that God no longer wanted to save me, so I really stopped feeding my relationship with him and just did my own thing without questioning it. Finally, in the summer of my sophomore year, with the help of I friend, I recommitted my life to Christ. Since then, I’ve really felt lead to missions. I’ve felt like God keeps putting me in positions to build the skills I may need in the field. In March 2019, I was baptized surrounded by some amazing people God’s put in my life to help keep me on track.
I truly see this Thailand/Cambodia trip as the next step in my faith. Ever since recommitting to my faith I’ve felt like God has been telling me to be more bold in who I am in Christ and I this trip is me following his lead and hopefully being bold in the way that he’s been asking me to.
Anyway, thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you stick around to see just how much God works in me and through me in the next few months leading up to the trip and the three months on the field.
