So, we have officially had 5 days of ministry at Hope Church in Romania. I was expecting the (what I thought was gonna be) normal VBS and children’s ministry and sports and running around hours on end till I fell over….
Yet this past month of my life I worked at Christ Community Church back home in Franklin doing administrative work along side the amazing Diana Batarseh. I leaned how to plan events, work with others, relabel water bottles, and the whole staff of Hobby Lobby (jokes only some of you will get, haha). Yet, what I didn’t know is what the Lord was preparing me for.
We were sitting there and our leaders announce all the teams teaching English, doing the children’s after school program, etc. Then they get to team now and said we are doing administrative work in the church with Raul. All I could think about was God’s humor and him just laughing. I don’t want to say I was upset at first but it was not what I was expecting. I was planning on squeezing some kids and teaching them how to tie their shoes.
So we get to the office and they divvy up the jobs that were entailed for the office work. I ended up getting the position of media and boy oh boy am I excited haha! The first day I got to follow my squad mates around the surrounding villages filming them pass out bibles. It was a cool getting to interact with the people of the community and be able to hand out bibles.
It’s exciting because I didn’t know how much I love making videos and editing. The Lord has shown me my creative side and it’s exciting to be able to document what’s happening!
I’m having a great time and thank you for all the prayers and support!! Can’t wait to share more stories!
So check out my video of the Bible handout here:
