After being on the race and spending months in a country I thought what food could being somewhere for only a week do?? Then I came to Lungthulein, India!
These past five days in inida have changed my life. I didn’t think I could love a place as much as I love the hills of north eastern inida.
This week we came with the full squad to the hills and spent three days before breaking up. My team stayed in Lungthulein for the rest of the week as the other teams traveled to surrounding villages.
We spent spent the mornings in the schools trying our hardest to entertain. Kyleigh and I had the 10th grade students for three days. At first I was super bummed because everything we said to the kids they would just stare at us and not participate.
Then they bought in and we acted as fools. They laughed at us and we laughed at ourselves and boom. We played a bunch of games, sang our lungs out, and even broke a door!
I was thankful for those kids. Thankful they bought in. They loved talking to us but loved laughing at us more, haha!

Every afternoon we played soccer. Let me tell ya, I was terrible but some how they still passed me the ball. We ran a bunch and got super muddy. They were full of smiles and always wanted to play more. Then at the end of the week we broke out the volleyball net and I schooled those kids- it was so much fun!!! It was super fun unifying the racers and kids thru sports.

Then each night we would attend their daily devotional. We sang fun camp songs, hymns, and shared testimonies. In their culture they don’t get loud very much, and if you know me, you know I get loud! So each night I’d lead Boom Chicka Boom and we got loud and had a great time!! It was awesome singing with them- they sang even if they had NO idea what the words were. They would try and have a great time.
Then after it was done we would walk down the hill home and shout goodnight till we were in the house. It was hilarious hearing them shout all the sayings of “goodnight” “goodbye” or (what Gabby taught them) “adios amigos”! It was cute seeing them throughout the week and they reply with Adios amigos!!

It was a great week serving the school of Partnership Missions Society High School. I seriously loved the hills of India.

It was cool seeing that actually buying in can impact a bunch of people- even if you’re only there for a week!
