Last night was the second night our squad got to play soccer with the Romanians. Alex, one of the leaders at the church we are working at, helped us organize a soccer game at the field near our house.

The first time we played it was late and I didn’t feel like going but I went anyway and I had the best time. There was another world race squad with us, X Squad, and they were SO much fun!!!! I hope y’all are reading this- it was nice to meet y’all! But we all were so bad (like horrible) compared to the Romanians. We started USA teams against Romanian teams but it ended up being the Americans getting beat repeatedly that we integrated teams. We had a great time kicking the ball around, I wasn’t much help haha. But I was great at moral support haha!

Then last night we were planning on playing again but we took a long time to cook our dinner so I was debating in staying behind since I was hungry and it would be another late night. Plus a lot of people were staying behind and I didn’t want to go and wish I was home. But since I had such a good time the time before I told myself I was gonna go. And I’m glad I did!!

The other abby and I rode in the back of the smallest car with 5 Romanians, y’all my legs did not fit haha. But we had some good music on and they drove fast. So we were trying to talk but it ended up just us laughing at them and them laughing at us since we couldn’t understand at all what they were saying haha. So we get there and since there was a smaller amount of players we did three teams of 5 so we all got a lot of playing time. It was awesome getting to run around and chase the ball. Not gonna lie- I’m pretty dang good. I even made a goal last night!!

But after many rounds, it was 10:50 and we had to be home at 11. So they said they’d get us back on time and they did…. Mom I’m sorry but I made it out alive haha. It was abby and I back in the back giggling as we sped by the cars in front of us. We laughed and laughed as we tried talking to the teenage boys in front of us, but still we couldn’t understand each other, haha. They dropped us off at the house and we got out and before going inside we just had to stop and take in the fact that we just had an awesome night playing soccer and full of laughing, in Romania!!!! Like we were just in awe like how there is no way

I was just so happy right then knowing that I had made the right choice. I’m so thankful God lead me to World Race and even taking a gap year. I’m so happy right now and I wouldn’t trade these new friends, experiences, and opportunities for anything. I’m so happy, wow. I’m in Romanian having the time of my life sharing the word of the Lord!

Thank you guys for sending me, believing in me, and supporting me. It means so much. I know I say that a lot but right now I’m beaming of joy and thankfulness.
