Happy Sunday everyone!!
First, I want to start with praising the Lord for everything wonderful He’s doing in my life. I have officially been here in Gainesville, Georgia for a month now, and wow it couldn’t be any better. Thanks God!!
Updates:
- We had showers built for us!! Therefore, we are no longer taking bucket showers and we have these amazing showers with hot water. They were built inside of old shipping containers!
- We just finished gender week, where the men left campus to camp and have a long sabbath near the Appalachian Trail. The woman stayed on campus and went through a retreat called Beauty for Ashes! Their main focus to have retreats across the world with the intent of healing women’s hearts through God. Here is the website if you want to learn more: https://www.adventures.org/beautyforashes/
Now for the big news:
Between October 31st and November 7th, my squad will be going to Baldwin County, Alabama to help minister to families whose homes were damaged during Hurricane Sally. We will be doing a lot of physical labor, but beyond that, our work will extend to spiritual and emotional support for the homeowners whose houses were destroyed. We are blessed to be staying in First Baptist Church for the week while we are in Alabama. If you want to see a quick, two-minute video about what kind of work we will be doing, here is the link: https://youtu.be/tBZTT8iWKt4
Thank you so much for continuing to support me through prayer and donations. I have loved partnering with all of you to help spread God’s word and care for others. I’ll have more updates soon! Thanks for reading my blog!
