Hey everyone, my name is Abby Fillman! If you couldn’t tell, I’ve been accepted into the World Race Gap Year and I’m so thrilled for what God has for me during my trip. Nine months away from everything I know is so scary but so exciting and I can’t wait to see how God changes me.

The people in my life have really played a big role in who I am. I love love love people, I am always talking to someone and wanting to learn more about someone, so going to four different countries and learning new cultures and meeting new people and just really getting a chance to engage with them is going to be so incredible. With that being said, leaving the people who have raised me and made me who I am today for nine months is going to be so challenging, but it’ll be good to be able to really have my own faith!

I grew up in a small church where everyone is family. They have kind of helped me realize that this is really what I want to do, and I am so blessed to have them support me on this trip and know that they are all praying for me.

I mean, I’m not gonna lie, this trip is scary, but the journey will be so worth it and I truly could not be more thrilled. I will try my hardest to express my emotions and my experiences through this blog and I hope it will give insight to things I’m seeing daily and ways God is moving in my life and the lives of others. Thank you all so so much for reading and for supporting me, I could not express my gratitude enough!
