So if you haven’t read my last blog, you should! I talk about my ministry this month. It’s a good one, you should check it out! But anyway, as you know, I’m working in an orphanage for children with or at risk of HIV and AIDS. These children are soooo so so special and have quickly grabbed my heart. However, it’s extremely expensive to own an orphanage where the children are THRIVING and healthy because they need medicine, doctors visits, all that good stuff.
My host, Avis, shared with us that her goal is for the whole orphanage to run solely off of support. That means that each child needs 11 sponsors to give $35 a month, which would cover costs for food, education, lodging, and all their medicine and doctors visits, etc. Right now, she has A LOT of children who still need support. Some of the children may have 5 sponsors, but others don’t have any at all, so it’s hard to afford all the things they need to keep the children as healthy as possible.
Soooooo with that being said, I’m asking you to prayerfully consider sponsoring a child here at Agape Home. By doing so, you can change the lives of the children at this orphanage!!! You can better their health and their education. You can provide simple needs for the children for only $35 a month!!!! It’s so simple for us, but it opens a door of opportunities for them. These children are some of the most joyful, loving kids I’ve ever met, and how cool would it be to be a part of that?!!?!?!?!? So cool!!!!
Today, as my team walked into Avis’ office to share with her our desire to sponsor the children and share the need of sponsorship, excitement filled her face. She was blown away by our hope for people at home to fill this place and for the children to grab their hearts too, and quickly hurried to get us the names of the children who still need to be sponsored.
Because of liability, I’m unable to share names of the children over the internet, however, if you are interested, you can message me and I will give you the list of children in need of sponsorship, with pictures and a description of each child! It’s really simple to donate, it’s online, it’s quick, and it’s for a reallllly great cause! So please, please pray about sponsoring one child, just one, and you can help change their lives!
