A month done and gone. For a moment I think how? But honestly I am longer surprised by the time slipping away. My days here in Ethiopia are full. I am already looking back on this past month with a grateful heart. So here’s to the sweet moments that have passed and the ones still to come.

Laughter, it rings in my ears. Their smiles etched in my mind. The sweet children at the refugee camp are filled with abundant joy.

Something as easy as painting nails. It was hand after hand appearing in front of me. My eyes glued to all the various sizes and shapes of hands. Eager to paint as many people as I could, I hardly got the chance to look up, but when I did my eyes were met with a smile.

Each Friday at the camp we put on a concert for the families there. Crowds of Ethiopians gather around to hear the music.

My feet stayed planted in that puddle. Soapy hands, as I tried to teach the kiddos how to clean themselves. It was one of my favorite days. To be able to clean the kids hands and face was a humbling experience.

Everyday I get to be me! Living freely in Christ, I am able to share his joy with all his beautiful children. I am filled and overflowing to give more of God to those around me. To pour out the love that he gives me daily.
