Hey friends and family!

Hope you all are enjoying the holiday season! It’s currently 80 degrees and sunny as can be here in Chile. As the end of the year is approaching, so is my final deadline for fundraising and I am still about $2,000 short. This year maybe instead of buying the new Starbucks holiday drinks or watching the new movies that are coming out, you’d consider supporting me? Jesus is the true reason we celebrate Christmas right? And what better way to celebrate the birth of Jesus than to help spread His message to people around the world? Whether it’s $10 or $100, literally any contribution helps! Simply hit the donate button on my blog! If you are unable to donate, you can still support me through prayer! While I’ve been on the race I’ve seen just how powerful prayer can be and I appreciate your prayers so much!

As we’re about to begin a new year and I look back on what this past year has been the word that comes to mind is change. First of all, what a heck of a change it’s been to live out of backpack for 3 months already. I’ve really learned what the things are that I truly value having in my life, and I’ve realized how many things there are that I thought I needed when I really don’t. I’ve also undergone so much spiritual change already. I’ve been learning how to live a life that is led by the Holy Spirit and not my flesh. To let God’s spirit dictate how I make decisions and how I love other people.

The Father has also been teaching me to find my core identity in Him and the love He has for me instead of the love of other people. And I’ve experienced so much change in the way that I view missions. I’ve been learning what it really means to live on mission for Christ. “Ministry” isn’t just something you go out and do for a couple hours of the day, it’s a way you live your entire life. It means building relationships with the grocery store workers you see every week and showing them that they are seen, it means actually stopping and having conversations with the people you walk by on the streets, it means helping the old lady carry her bags when you see her struggling to walk with them. Honestly missional living just means being the hands and feet of Jesus; we are the physical body of Christ to people here on earth and we should be showing His love to all those we meet in whatever way we can. These 3 months so far have already yielded so much fruit, and I absolutely cannot wait to see all that the Father has in store for this coming year, for the 6 more months I have on the field as well as for when I return home.

I honestly can’t thank you all enough for following me in this journey. Whether that’s through financial support, reading my posts or by praying for me, you make what I’m doing possible. I will be praying for all of you, and I hope this Christmas season is one full of joy, fellowship, and most importantly Jesus! Love you all!
