Honduras has been a crazy month for me and my teammates! Here are some photos of our experiences here so far!

The view from our rooftop balcony is INCREDIBLE! On this day, there just so happened to be a rainbow just begging for our attention. We all gathered in awe of how cool our home is.

At the special needs school I’m volunteering at, they celebrate birthdays from 3 months at a time! Here are some of the birthday guys! Have you ever seen any cuter, party hat wearing friends?!

Evelyn is a student at the special needs school. She has a mild form of autism and a learning disability that keep her from succeeding in a normal school environment. She’s taken a liking to me and my puzzle doing abilities this month! What a friend!

How do you guys really feel about being in this van?

Smoothies are always better with a view! This was our first outing in Honduras- a short walk from our host home to a cafe called “Oh Crepe!” These smoothies were really just strawberries, water, ice, and sugar, but they hit the spot!

One of the hardest ministry days ended with my team mates and I asking each other what we were thankful for. Finding joy in the hardest circumstances can eventually lead to these kind of smiles!

Our first attempt at grocery shopping for 7 people for one week. Stressful, yet satisfying.

We live in a mansion this month… seriously. That whole yellow house is all for team Lighthouse! It could house over 40 people comfortably, so we’re loving the extra space to spread out and find quiet time nooks in this awesome place!

Julia is the only certified chef on our team, but we all take turns at cooking dinner! Here’s Rachel with her amazing meal.

One of the kids in my class grabbed my phone and snapped this shot of me. It accurately depicts how I felt after 5 hours of screaming in the preschool room.

After a tour of the town, we got to snap a picture in front of the city sign! Juticalpa is such an interesting little ranching town.

If you’ve never stood up in the back of a moving pickup truck, are you even a World Racer?

Oriolyne and our new friend Katie! Katie is an American who’s volunteering in one of the school’s this year. She’s incredible and we’ve loved getting to know her!

Party animals.

I’ve gotten to see my friend Taylor intentionally disciple this woman this month. Genesis is a teacher that Taylor was paired with at our school. We got together to eat crepes, meet her son Christopher, and chat about Jesus, life in America, and all things makeup.

You read it right people. Taylor and I got lice from the kids at school. Don’t let my face fool you, I’m super thrilled about it.

This was one of my favorite days in Honduras, so far! We got to go on a hike with all of the teachers we work with at school. The views were incredible and we got to chat with the teachers for hours and just get to know them. The Lord loved on me really well this day.

One night we fit our whole team into one taxi. That’s the 7 of us plus the taxi driver. Us physical touch love language people were loving it. Not featured- Daniel hanging his head out the window the whole drive home, Rachel’s look of horror as she sat on Julia’s lap.

Hope you enjoyed the photo update! Love and prayers from Honduras!
