“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.” -1 Timothy 4:12
I’ve seen this verse come to life before my eyes in the past couple months.
Fundraising is tough, y’all. One of the hardest, most challenging things I’ve ever set out to do. But The Lord has been providing for me in amazing ways through my people!
One of the most amazing ways God has provided has been through young people, mostly college students. Most of my supporters are in college, or have just recently graduated. I don’t know if you know this or not, but this demographic of people usually aren’t as financially stable as an adult with a steady income would be. BUT it has been amazing and humbling for me to watch and see young people set an example in love and in faith for all believers.
The thing I love about this is that these students and young adults are so quick to give, so generous, though they have little. They have inspired me to be generous. To not hold tightly to earthly things because my finances, my things-they all belong to God.
I’ve been praying for financial breakthrough from the Lord in this season of fundraising. And I’m proud to say that I have a team of young people supporting me who give generously, love deeply, and encourage daily.
I’m thankful for all of my supporters. But today, I’m feeling extra thankful for the young people in my life who are supporting me and encouraging me on this journey.
