What if plan B was always His plan A? What if this seeming obstacle of COVID was His way of ripening our earth to racial reconciliation? What if this COVID obstruction is His way of teaching reliance?

Hey friends! It’s been a while since I’ve written to you, but I wanted to update you on the World Race’s plans given the globe’s current closure! Our amazing leadership team has decided to put our contingency plan into place so that we will be safe, keep our ministry partners safe, and have the most probable chance of visiting them soon. Basically what that means is that my squad and I will be living in Gainesville, Georgia at headquarters from September to December. While there we will get discipleship training, do local ministry, and become fully equipped for serving elsewhere! Then come January, we are hopeful and prayerful that we will get to launch into different countries for 6 months!

I confess that I like to think I’m in control of my life. Yet, if I’ve learned anything from this season it’s that our Father’s will is not contingent on our plans or changing environment. While it took me a while and some amazing people to help me realize this truth, I am confident that He who began a good work in this adventure will bring it to completion (even if it looks different than I thought)! I committed to the World Race trusting that is where the Lord wanted me and I fully believe He still has a plan in it. I surrender my preconceived notions and selfish desires to this plan however it comes to fruition. This is such a unique opportunity and I am beyond excited to see what the Lord does in all the different squads and every individual life!! Thinking about it makes me want to pack my bag and go now! I pray He continues to wreck our expectations, use us where we are, and open our minds to His will.
