Hi friends!!
Recently, I have heard a lot of talk about seasons. Whether it be fall turning into winter or just the holiday season, seasons seem to be a big deal. A season is defined as a division in the year resulting from the earth’s changing position. I really feel like the Lord has been teaching me that life comes in seasons. Ecclesiastes 3:1 says “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens”.
Inevitably, we will walk through seasons of grief, sadness, discontentment, or simply just struggles. We were never promised to have an easy life or a life free from struggle. In fact, Jesus walked through an intense season of persecution and struggle leading up to his death on the cross.
The best news about seasons is that they CHANGE.
We serve a God bigger than anything we are walking through. We serve a God who is more than able to change our position and bring us in to a new season. Grief can be replaced with peace that surpasses understanding. Sadness can be turned into enteral joy. We can find ourselves content and at rest in the love of our father. Isaiah 43:19 says “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
“Though the winter is long, even richer the harvest it brings.
Though my waiting prolongs, even greater your promise for me.
Like a seed, I believe that my season will come”
