Hey friends! I wanted to write this blog to tell you all about my amazing ministry this month! We have just been calling it “family ministry” because there’s so many parts to it!

We are working with a man named Samuel and his wife Elizabeth. They have four biological children and they have taken in 18 more. Yes you read that right, they have 22 children. Samuel and Elizabeth have both given up their jobs and spend all their time looking after their kids. Everyday the children worship and pray together in the morning and the evenings. They are fed three meals a day and Samuel makes sure they all make it to school safely.

For our ministry, we just do whatever we can to help them! The kids are on break from school so we get to spend all day with them. We teach them English in the morning and we do bible stories in the afternoon. We have taught them new games and we’ve learned some from them too!

We got to spend Christmas with them and it was such a special day! We did a service in the morning and the whole team got to share with them and they performed lots of songs and dances. We wrote them all letters and got them all a little treat and in the afternoon we watched a movie with them!

I love this ministry and these people so so much. We are only here for a month so this will be our last week with them and I have loved every second. I love teaching them and singing and praying with them. Each of the kids has such a unique personally and it’s been so cool getting to know each of them so personally. Every morning the kids come running out to meet us and it makes me SO happy! I know all of their names and they know mine and it’s so sweet. I love spending our lunch time just getting to know Samuel and Elizabeth and their hearts. They have a lot of big dreams for their ministry and I admire their faith so much. They are such a beautiful example of Christ’ love.

Please pray for them! Pray for provision and protection for them and that the Lord would provide opportunity for them to keep growing. Please be praying for my team in our last week here, leaving these kids is going to be really hard for me.

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and you have a wonderful New Year!

all my love,

abby 🙂
