One of Indiana Wesleyans missions is to create World Changers, there is even one person entered into the World Changer hall of fame (or something like that) each year. Recipients while I was in school included James Dobson and tony Dungy. While I agreed with the concept, we still made fun of it like college students do. It didn't help that the World Changer hall of famers had bronze busts in the library atrium.

Fast forward three years. A lot has changed in these years. I have grown and matured and being a World Changer actually means something to me.

Obviously, this year I am traveling the world with the goal of loving all those I met with the same love God lavishes upon me and serving them with my whole heart. Does this make me a World Changer? I guess so. But you don't need to travel the world sharing Gods love to be a World Changer.

I think back to the well known story of the starfish. Throwing back the starfish may not make a big difference, but it does make a difference to that one starfish. I've heard people say that if on the World Race I change one life it will be worth it. I agree with this statement with all my heart.

Each person makes a difference. Each life matters to God.

That means everyone can be a World Changer. If you change a single life you change the world. You do not know how many lives may be changed because of a single action, a single person you impact.

So now, three years after graduating, I take joy in being called a World Changer. I don't expect to make a big difference in the world so that everyone knows about me. But just maybe, as I am faithful to what God calls me to do, I will change one persons world, and that is enough for me.
