Popup is graced by the presence of a beautiful woman named Rachel. She is honestly one of the most joyful people I have ever met. I was able to hear some of her story the other day and want to share it with you (details may be sketchy, sorry!)
Rachel employed by Popup working in the hospitality department. She told me that many people may think her job is boring, not good enough, or just something that they would never inspire to do. It isn't always glamorous at times. She does things such as replenish toilet paper and empty the garbage cans. But Rachel does all of these things with a smile of her face.
She attended Popup as a learner and then applied to enter the hospitality school. She was actually one of the last people accepted into the school at that time. She says that she is so grateful she was able to receive an education at such a low cost. But more importantly she was exposed to a Christian environment where she could flourish.
After she finished she stayed as an employee at Popup. Today she knows that life is more about a job. Any job can be joyful as long as you approach it with the right attitude. She says that here at Popup she has so much more than a job, she has daily spiritual upliftment.
I feel like we all can learn a lot from Rachel. How do you approach your job? Is it just a way to make money, or is it more?
