Guess what? I’ve been in Guatemala for over a month now! To celebrate, I thought I’d share some pictures from my month πŸ™‚

We invite the kids from school to come play soccer with us on Saturday afternoons. So far, only a few show up but we have such a fun time!

Officially found the best rooftop picture spot in Antigua! This is at a coffee shop overlooking central park. So beautiful!

A few weeks ago, I got the chance to create and teach a lesson with my teammates. We taught on the correct order of nouns (sustantivos) and adjectives (adjectivos) in English. This is just part of the lesson. I was so proud of us!

Can you guess who wrote this part of the lesson? πŸ™‚

One of my favorite things to do with my free-time is explore the city. There are so many restaurants and coffee shops, I always find something new. This day, a friend and I passed this cool looking restaurant and decided to go inside and check it out. They had such a beautiful rooftop view! It started to rain and we got to watch from above the city.

This is the arch, and important landmark in Antigua.

I had just filmed these girls playing “The Sound of Silence” on their recorders. It was so beautiful!

My team made me chocolate cake on my birthday! Love them πŸ™‚

I do my best to not pet the animals on the street, but it gets hard when they are this friendly.

On one of our off days, we got to go to the beach! The sand was black, the waves were strong, and the beach was gorgeous!

We got to go to a Guatemalan wedding! We had a great time and even learned how to dance.

This is a ‘tipico’ Guatemalan breakfast. Eggs, beans, fried plantains, bread, and coffee. So good!

Thanks for all the prayers! I still need to raise about $2,000 before November. That is definitely something to pray about! I’m falling in love with this place more and more every day and am already getting sad about leaving.

With love,

Abby in Antigua πŸ™‚
