To wrap up documentation of our short time spent in one of my new favorite countries, here is a look into daily life in Cahul, Moldova (plus surrounding villages). The title “Life in a Day” doesn’t exactly portray our month accurately, because each day spent in Moldova was starkly different. With that being said, enjoy these clips of multiple ministry sites and multiple outfit changes as we cleaned, played and sang our way into the lives of the warm people of Moldova.
Expect to see:
- our favorite instant coffee (Jacobs 3-in-1) being mixed for a morning pick-me-up.
- my team hitchkiking; this became somewhat of a norm.
- a game of rock, paper, scissors and unspoken prayer in a deaf orphanage.
- precious, precious babies that we got to love.
- Cola, a missionary in the city of Leova, as he shows off his best friend/pet rat while we gasp in astonishment.
- Rachel giving herself a “World Race bath” using resources that are always on hand.
- me, drawing water from a well (no pump, people!).
- an awkward baby interaction as Suze tries to find comfort with an infant in her arms.
- a crazy awesome array of food (including sardines) for an Easter celebration/feast.
- Team Oasis becoming more and more like Point of Grace as our all girls team turns international singing sensation.
