It’s just as I left it..

It’s been cold here in New England and I love it.
The magic of the World Race as essentially come to its close.
The friends remain and so do the memories.
It was an experience in my life I will never regret.
We saw incredible things happen.
We lived in community that changed people’s lives forever.
I discovered another section of family.
I cried once leaving America over one person.
Again, only once on the Race in Nicaragua over one person;
yet I’ve lost count in saying goodbye to this conglomeration of friends.
I’m not trying to be overly dramatic,
just trying to stress how important and special these people have become to me.
They’re really great.
Really, really great.
Life would be a list of tasks and empty energy expenditure if it weren’t for the people in it.
Community makes life.
Community with Jesus makes life incredible.

My life will never be the same, but it is getting back to “normal,”
you know, whatever that looks like.
I’m registered for classes again.
I’m employed again.
I drink black coffee that’s not instant.
I have clothes that are new and actually smell nice.
I smell nice, in fact, with minimal effort.
Tonight is the annual MCC Winter Arts Festival- I’ll be going to it.
(Hopefully, I’ll see some of you there).
Starbucks still tastes the same.
My juicer is still my favorite.
Life continues on and is a bit more predictable now,
but it will never, ever, ever be the same!

I love you M-Squad.
You’ve helped to make my year fantastic and rich.
I would pick you guys any day. (:
