Hello, my name is Abby Janell Conley. I am 24 years old, and I am from Auburn, Washington. Last May, I graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Apparel, Merchandising, Design and Textiles. In the future, I hope to design exciting costumes for movies, television and stage productions.
My parents and my two younger brothers love God with all their heart. I am so grateful to have such an amazing, loving family. Since growing up in church, I have gone on several mission trips. After each trip, I did not wanted to go home. There was always this sense I was meant to keep my heart open to more trips in the future. But I never expected to do anything like the World Race, and I now am really looking forward to traveling to serve more long term.
This year, I have been learning more about trusting God with my future. While serving abroad and designing costumes may seem very different, I believe that God will bring the best opportunities at the right time. Right now, I want to make the most of what He has given me now, and live life to the fullest.
