There are so many things I want to say about my month in Thailand and I don’t know where to start. It has been incredible to say the least. The time I spent at ABBA House has been one of the best months on the Race so far and I have learned so much from the people I have met there and I have become very attached in such a short time. The kids that I have been so fortunate to meet here in Chiang Mai, Thailand have been through so much, but they are some of the sweetest people I have ever known. They love without restraint and just seeing them every day put a huge smile on my face. I will miss them with all my heart and I hope to see them again someday soon!
I mentioned before that I thought I would hate Thailand before I got to Chiang Mai, but I was mistaken. This place has stolen my heart and I could not have asked for a better place or better company. It’s incredible how God surprises us sometimes by giving us exactly what we want in ways that we never expect.
I never expected to like teaching English, but I was excited to play games and talk during every class.
I never thought I would like working with teenage boys who make too many jokes or girls who giggle all the time, but I do.
I never expected to like sweating 24/7, but it was worth it to see the smile on our kids’ faces and to get to get to spend time with them.

I never thought I would like going to an Elderly home and talking and singing for the people there, but it was totally worth it.
I never thought I would enjoy going to a drug and alcohol restoration center, but every second was cherished by my team and it was incredible to see our Abba House boys minister to the patients there.
Basically, God blew this month out of the water for me in so many ways and I could not be more grateful for that. I will never cease to be amazed by His timing and plans and how they are always so much better than mine.
