” All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:”  Deuteronomy 28:2

I have always struggled with the understanding the word “blessed”
I consider myself to be a blessed woman.  I am generally healthy, intelligent enough, educated enough, have wonderful family and friends that support me.  In spite of all that, I sometimes have to ask myself, “do i feel blessed today?” and often I realize that blessings do not depend on my feelings on any subject.  God defines his blessings and when I am obedient to him many blessings from him come.
But when it comes to this trip and having to raise this crazy amount of $13,800, I can not find any other word then blessed…
This is how…
1) Less then a week before training camp my boss bought my plane ticket to training instead of me driving 15+ hours by myself.  (Saved me $500+)
2) Trying to find a facility to hold my fundraiser.  The only place we could find was $600.  When I was just about to give up, the Lord provided a place for $25. (Bringing in $2300 from that event)
3) Needing to get my eyes checked before I leave was going to cost me $140 not to include the $125 contacts I was going to have to buy because I don’t have insurance.  I was blessed with paying $80 for the eye exam, $4 antibiotic eye drops and a year supply of contact solution for free.
4) The finding the money to pay for my shots.  The Lord provided a friend, who’s mother worked in a clinic and gave all my shots for free.
5) Having a Chic-fil-A fundraiser and not knowing how much this would bring in.  The manage told me after that he would match whatever I made from the event.
6)  Visiting my grandma.  She asked me, “What else do you need to do before you leave?”  I told her I had some money raising to get done.  With her kind heart and wanting me to be taken care of she told me, “Lets not worry about money and wrote me my last amount.”
If this is not being blessed by the Lord then I can not wait to see what is.  There are so many more things that the Lord has blessed me with.  From family and friends providing me with many things that are going to help me through this next year to many people saying I will be praying for you.
Just pray that I do not forget how blessed I have been so far.  I don’t want it to become something that has no effect.
And a BIG THANK YOU for all those who have allowed the Lord to BLESS me through you!
