Hi from Serbia. I’m currently sitting in a cafe in Sombor, Serbia with my team (AO1) having breakfast. Over the past 6 days, I have experience so much. We arrived in Sombor late at night. We met our ministry host, Zoli, and a few people. On the 10th AO1 and I took time to see the city. At the end of the day, they had a cook out and we got to meet more church members. On Friday and Saturday, AO1 put on an English club. It was so much fun getting to build relationships with people in the community. On Sunday, AO1 performed a special song and preached. I had the joy of working in the nursery.

I wanted to quickly share a story of how I’ve seen God in Sombor already. A young lady from this area went to Zoli’s English camp earlier this year. During English cam she fell in love with God. Her whole life was turned around. I was given the opportunity to sit down and talk with her and learn her story. She told me how, before she new God, she was depressed and she hated life. She didn’t feel anything but hate and sadness. Her and her mother were driving down the road, sometime before English camp, fighting. All of a sudden they both yelled at each other “get out of the car”. Her and her mother got out of the car and ran to the ditch. As they got to the ditch the car exploited. She told me “I knew it was God who told us to get out of the car. But I didn’t want to believe it.” God meet her at this English camp. Zoli opened her eyes to God’s love. She then told me how she started to pray and began to see the joy in life. She is so hungry for God’s love. She wants, with all her heart a relationship with him. It’s a beautiful thing to see. I hope her story strengths you and gives you hope as it did for me.

Zoli, the pastor of the church we’re helping is looking for prayers. He says the ground here in Serbia is hard, as in the people aren’t open to God’s love. Please join AO1 in praying for Serbia. A lot of them know God, but think of him and his son and historical figures instead of the liv
