Just a little update on things..
For the first time in my life I don’t have any free time, and as much as I enjoy being busy I also enjoy breathing, ha! There is just so much to do in such little time, and I know with God all things are possible, but it doesn’t mean that all things are easy.
Fundraising is way harder than I ever imagined. So far, I’ve had 3 garage sales to raise money, and I’ve been blessed by people who have donated things to the sale. I raised around $500 in the first 2 sales, and yesterday was a little bit slower. However, I still raised around $140 during that sale, which is $140 more than what I had! BUT, I never really knew how much work goes into a garage sale until I had to do one myself, and honestly without the help of my amazing friends, and family (especially my mom who by the way, is a garage sale rock star) I honestly think that I would’ve given up.
Another fundraising idea that I have been using is recycling. I want to start by thanking all of the people that have donated me plastic bottles, and cans. Without all of you guys helping me out I wouldn’t have the opportunity to go on this amazing trip. Believe it or not recycling is a lot more work than you think.
Basically, I have been crazy busy with working and fundraising, trying to meet my deadline of $10,000 in 2 weeks… As of right now I’m at $5,000, so about half way there.. and ANYTHING HELPS.
