Day 2 of training camp with my team

UPDATE!

I am headed to Colombia! My team and I just finished training camp and start our travel day today. We will land in Bogota tonight where we will spend the night. We will be in  Medellin tomorrow morning where we will debrief with our hosts at Ciudad Refugio.

This month we have the opportunity to work with a program that aids with homelessness and drug addiction. We have spent the past four days in Gainesville, Georgia praying for our ministry sites and getting specific info on our trips. We had the opportunity to  hear from past racers and missionaries on their experiences both on the world race and in the field. We discussed ways to be most effective and intentional in missions on and off our mission site. Keep Ciudad Refugio in your prayers and that we would be a light to those who cross our path.

Something I learned

Over training Camp we focused on 3 aspects of our walk with God, Cave, Table and Road. Cave focuses on our personal relationship with Christ. This means living out our life with a close intimate relationship with Him. Table represents the community we need to find with others for fellowship in Christ.  As Christians it is important to find community with other believers. And last Road which represents the aspect of missions. Actively going out to be a light and share the gospel.

Conclusion

I will be writing blogs throughout my time in Colombia! Make sure to subscribe to my blog to get all the latest details. Keep my team in your prayers!
