Hey everyone !!
My name is Abigail, but everyone calls me Abba (yes, like the band), and I am so exited that I have the opportunity to share my adventures with you!
I’m not going to lie, the idea of writing a whole blog post titled “about me” is little bit daunting, but here I am. Whenever I was talking to my parents about writing this, my mom had the idea of choosing three of my strengths, and three weaknesses to chat about. Originally I (strongly) disliked this idea, but ill just throw them out there anyways with some other random stuff about me.
I would say that some of my strengths include understanding & reading people; being adventurous; and being thoughtful, while some of the stuff that I struggle with is procrastinating; being a people pleaser; and being stubborn. Some other things of importance: I LOVE being active. I really enjoy playing soccer, and going camping, making fun memories with friends, watching sunsets, having worship concerts in my car, or just doing spontaneous things with my family. I am one of those people that laughs at almost anything, and when I was twelve, I taught myself how to unicycle. My 2 main love languages are quality time and acts of service, and I am a 9w8 on the enneagram.
I have grown up in a bit of a zoo! I am 17 & have 7 younger siblings (4 adopted from Ethiopia) two amazing parents, 3 dogs, 3 bunnies & 3 cats, and a huge extended family. No, it is never quiet or boring at home. I am an extrovert and I love people (and animals) so it works out :). During my free time when I am not spending time with my favorites or at practice, I love studying psychology, and learning about the human body & health related subjects. I hope to go to college to study one of those things once I get back from the WRGY!!
I know this was a little long and scattered, so if you made it here, you are a real one! But thank you so much for investing your time into this & I cannot wait to share more stories of the “how, why, and what” of the world race gap year (route 4!!) that I will be leaving for in September. I hope you have an amazing day & God bless!
