This is a picture of a bush that is literally growing out of a rock next to a riverbed on the outskirts of Beijing I entitled it “No matter where you are planted, bloom”.
(shout out to Megan for coming up with the following blog for our squad)
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” – Matthew 7:7-8
Hello everyone! I am going to go ahead and share with you all that I am writing this blog for a specific purpose:
My squad needs your help.
I have been doing life with 18 other individuals for the past three months. We have seen God multiply the influence of a small Christian coffee shop in Ishinomaki. God sent us to partner with three different Christian organizations throughout the island country of Taiwan. And this past month, we have been blessed to share the gospel in a nation where evangelism is illegal.
And all of this was possible because of the faithfulness and provision of our supporters: our friends and family at home, our friends and family abroad, our churches, anonymous donors, and ultimately to everyone who has said yes to giving and to coming alongside us and our partners overseas.
However, as a squad, we are choosing to come together on behalf of everyone who is still fundraising. As you can see, I myself am still fundraising for my individual trip, but regardless of what my fundraising bar looks like at the top of my page, I am not truly fully funded until everyone on my squad is fully funded.
All of our funds for food, supplies, lodging, travel, ministry, and other expenses is pulled from one pot that consists of money raised by each person on the squad. But if the money is not fully raised on the squad, it can affect all of these budgets for the rest of the year, and it can keep us from doing the things God is asking us to do and going to the places that God is asking us to go.
Don’t get me wrong, where God calls, He also provides. We know and we trust that and we as a squad have no fear for what is ahead. But there is a necessary element that is needed to fulfill this mission that He has not only called me on, but has also called 18 other individuals on. That element is YOU! We as a squad are asking family, friends, coworkers, former classmates, church bodies, and anyone who happens to be reading this to help us finish the work that God has called us to do.
I am not fully funded until everyone on my squad is fully funded, so I ask on behalf of myself and every person the Lord has placed beside me in this season: will you partner with us? Will you seek the Lord in ways you can help us close the gaps in our finances? Will you prayerfully consider donating to myself or to my squad mates?
We need your help. Though you are not physically traveling with us, you can help make the difference needed to keep every person on the field and to allow us to go wherever God is calling us to go.
Below is a list of the names of all of my squad mates who are still in need of funds, as well as the amounts that they still have to raise.
Thank you for reading and thank you for bringing Jesus to the nations!
