My name is Aaron Williams, I was born in Oklahoma, spent my teenage years in Pennsylvania, and moved to Indiana when I was seventeen. I have two older brothers and a younger sister, who is adopted from Bangkok, Thailand. I was homeschooled all the way through high school and did a year of college at Cedarville University with a major in mechanical engineering and a minor in Bible. My work background is mainly in construction and landscaping.
I have felt called to missions since I was a teen, but this summer (2018) was the first time I went on a missions trip out of the country to Satipo, Peru. In 2015 I started traveling as a volunteer nationally with a interdenominational evangelism organization call Time To Revive. Revive is where the Lord really began shaping my passion to see the church discipled especially those who have never seen their God given potential in leadership. Some time in there I also started be involved with Chi Alpha campus ministries in my home town as a volunteer leader.
I want to expend my life enabling others to go further and be greater then I ever could be. I want to live life to the fullest in the light of scripture where it says, “Greater love has no man then this, that he lay down his life for his friends”. But I want to do it for all those whom the Lord is calling to be His friends, not just my own. I don’t know what it will look like, where it will take me, or what it will cost me. I want to risk living the things that would be safer to just give mental ascent to and keep in my “good christian doctrine box”. I want to live my life with everything on the alter, no exceptions, no turning back, and no giving in to my desire for control over trusting God.
Here I stand, so help me God.
