I just want to say that this is the hardest type of blog for me to write for some reason. I’ve been told repeatedly that it shouldn’t be, but it just is, and perhaps this vulnerability is precisely why I am in a situation that calls for it to be done, so please hear me out.

But before I do the dreaded deed, I want to thank you for reading my rants, caring for my cause, and putting up with my problems. I also want to thank my supporters who have been in a position to donate. Because of your love and support, I am coming closer and closer to being able to love on God’s people and to minister to the poor, lost, and broken.

Support Update: I have $4,101 cash in my account. I need $6,900 cash in my account by September 28th in order to fly to the Philippines! Later I will need the full $14,000 cash in my account. I must humbly ask everyone reading this blog to please
participate in this ministry by donating whatever amount
you can.  Even a one time donation or a monthly pledge of $5 will help
me tremendously.

I have THREE weeks left to raise $2,799 (check my math). I have faith that God will provide. He has called me and brought me this far already, and He never orders something He can’t afford! Paul reminds us that we have an opportunity to bring incredible glory to God (2 Co 9:11-15). It is my prayer that glory to God will be offered by those whose needs are being met in this ministry, not only in thanking God that their own physical and spiritual needs are being supplied, but in edifying God because His grace IS at work in the lives of the givers! I believe that “cheerful giving” (2 Co 9:7) is one indication that the grace of God has been active in a person’s life (2 Co 9:8, 14; 8:1-2, 6-7). The ability to give is indeed a gift from God! In Romans, Paul encourages us to use such a gift liberally (12:6-8). I believe that the more we give, the more God will enable us to give. To me, this would sound pretty bleak if I felt I didn’t have any money to spare. But giving is not limited to money! It may be that God has empowered us to give in other ways, such as with our talents, time, love, and prayer.

The reason this sort of blog is particularly difficult for me is twofold: 1. I know how tight finances can be and that there are a million other organizations asking for undivided attention and support, and 2. It seems awfully convenient asking to receive while preaching to give.

But I am only asking to receive so that I can give my all. Click here to help.
