As you might have read in my about me blog, reading is something thats I have really started enjoying lately and i want to talk about two books one in which I just read its part of are reading list so some of you might have read it as well. Its the book called Red Letters a faith that bleeds. Now when I first started reading this book the first little bit I was not Impressed I was thinking to my self how could this guy point the figure at anyone let alone a church, but once I got more in to the book I started to think how there were times in my life that I’ve probably chose not to help someone by like giving them money or something because I figured there probably going to just use it for drugs or something so why should I but reading the book I agree if someone asks for money for food or clothes should we pass by because we think they probably need it for something different then what they say or should we just trust them and help them either way. needless to say this book got me thinking and i think it was a good book for the recommended reading list there are stories of peoples hardships and how people help its really good.
The second book I really enjoyed and thought was a great book something that more youth should read or kids as there moving up to youth but its good for anyone really. some of you have probably read it or at least heard of it, it’s a book called do hard things and its simply as the title says. It’s a book that challenges teens to step up and make a difference. It talks about how people dont think teens can do much today and that their teen years are there party years but there not there the year to prepare your self and start making a big change its when you should work your hardest so that your ready for what’s to come in the future. it talks about stuff like parents today expecting there teenage kids only to do one chore a day and to make there bed with help each morning sounds silly right but its true and how back a few years it wasn’t like that when you turned 14 you were a man like you should be out working hard getting ready like red cross i think dont quote me but red cross or one of the big medical companies was started by a young girl when her family members got sick and then the people in her town started to get sick and she started taking care of every one who came and she started teaching others how to help like this is a little girl and a big sickness, now a days if a village got sick and it was up to the teenagers to save the town i’d have to really trust on god but i mean i’d be worried because the motivations and goa of teens today have changed because people are turning their eye so that these kids can have fun for there teen years it crazy but sorry for the rant lol its a good book to I think.
Any ways thanks again for reading hope your all doing well with things I could us a bit of prayer though my fundraising seems to have hit a wall so if you could just pray that the lord help provide the funds that would be amazing and also that he helps move our church and the people of the church in the right direction thanks a lot guys bye for now sorry i’ve been really busy with work haven’t got a chance to read much I’m trying to keep up though.
