The World Race
Dear Family and Friends,
Hi! I hope and pray this letter finds you blessed. I am writing to you to share with you the amazing turn of events God has been leading me through in this journey of my life. Through some very interesting turn of events, God has led me back home to Eustis, to start the Masters in Nonprofit Management (MNM) program with UCF, and finally to look in a totally different direction by joining The World Race with Adventures in Missions (AIM). I have joined The World Race for the October 2010 Race.
The World Race is a mission’s organization that sends individuals to 11 different countries in 11 months to spread the Gospel of Christ through many different outlets, such as helping orphans, building homes and churches, and ministering to the downtrodden. I have always had a desire to do the Lord’s will and I’ve spent as much time as possible the last few months praying for Him to lead me; His love and compassion has led me to this endeavor I seek to take now.
God deserves all praise and glory possible for where I am at this stage of my life, because without Him I would simply not be. I know that He will continue to lead me and direct me, as well as meeting the needs that I have along the way. I come to you to ask first and foremost for your continuous prayers throughout this journey I intend to embark upon. Also, the Race will cost $14,300 for all travel, food, and lodging. I know this seems to be a large task, but if 143 individuals, families or groups sign-up to give a one-time gift of $100, then the trip will be paid for…or if they decide to give $10 for 10 months, then the trip will be paid for.
Please make checks payable to Adventures In Missions and return the response card with your donation to Adventures In Missions PO Box 534470 Atlanta, GA 30353-4470. The response card will provide AIM with the information necessary to send you a receipt for your donation. Please send all donations by September 23, 2010. *
Adventures In Missions is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. Donors will receive receipts for their gifts with the understanding that the disbursement of those gifts lies completely at the discretion of Adventures In Missions and that the gifts are non-refundable and non-transferable, per IRS regulations. Gifts may be tax deductible; please consult a tax advisor.
I humbly request your support, prayerful and/or financial, to help me on this journey. I am excited for this chapter of my life and look forward to fulfilling His will along the way. Will you partner with me in my quest??
