Need for Speed: Dreams
Our contacts here have two sons, Sonny and Shaun, who are about the ages of my niece and nephew back home. They love to play their PS2 and the game Need for Speed: Most Wanted. Jake and I have spent time playing the game with them, but recently I've just sat in the recliner watching the interactions of Jake and the boys, contemplating the game title.
Shaun and his career.
God started speaking, "Son, there is indeed a need for speed in this day and age for there are many of my children that for me are most wanted and most desired by me; yet, there is nobody to go and tell them who they are. Many of my children have even started losing sight of who and whose they are. They have become stagnated in this life with their comfortability and are too afraid to take any more steps of faith. Son, I need someone to tell my children who and whose they are, but who will go for me? Who will be the one to mobilize my children into the men and women of God that they are?"
I sat in the reclinder, stunned, unsure how to respond, unsure if I was supposed to respond. Later that night as I again began a conversation with God, I said, "Abba, Daddy, I will go for you, whatever and wherever you need me to go, then send me. I will be the Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Jonah, Nehemiah of this generation. Daddy, I just don't know what or how to do what you ask. I know who and whose I am…YOURS, but Lord, I do not know anymore beyond that. You will have to guide and direct me and speak through me, in order to reach your children. I am an open vessel, one of your clay pots on the shelf for your use. Use me as you see fit and be the ONLY ONE that I follow. I love you Father! In Jesus' Name, Amen."
I got peace that night as I slept, but again things became apparent to me. Following are the pictures of mine and Lindsay's class with their DREAMS for when they want to grow up.
The doctors.
The police officers.
The teachers.
The military soldiers.
The software engineers.
These children are precious, especially to God, and they have seriously captured my heart in the few times I've been able to spend with them. I have tried to encourage and strengthen them in the Lord to move them into a fuller realization that these dreams of theirs aren't just going to be dreams, but they can and will be part of their realities. In that, I will be praying for these children, often, to grow up in the strength of the Lord and in His presence, safe from the enemy, and grow up to realize their dreams and bring Kingdom in every aspect of their lives.
For me, my dreams, are a whirlwind and a half of somehow bringing His Kingdom in this life, whether through my poetry or possibly going to London to find out the feasibility of an A.I.M. mission base located there, in order to mobilize all of Europe for His Kingdom. The poetry book will be published for the Glory of God and in September after The Awakening, I will be going to Kingdom Dreams Searchlight, which is to further build upon my dreams and guide me in the direction to making them a reality. God is so faithful and good to His children!
I shared this verse with the children: "I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me." ~Philippians 4:13 and believe it to apply to myself as well.
The Need for Speed to NOT back down from our dreams and desires that He places within us is great and we MUST always move forward in His love and presence to 'attain the prize for which He called us'. Grace be to you by God, the Father, Jesus Christ, the Son and the Holy Spirit, who dwells within each of His children! May you never forget Him who gave you life! God bless!!
Two weeks left and I'm in America…be forewarned! 😀
