…Just the…
We have left Africa behind after taking a flight from Dar Es Salaam to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and then another flight from there to Delhi, India. The flights were very nice and I got some good time to talk with Krystle on the first flight, so I good time all around. The leg room on these flights were amazing for me and I thoroughly enjoyed being able to stretch my legs out when I needed to.
Krystle and I on our first flight.
Anyways, on our second flight, they showed the moive Soul Surfer about the professional surfer, Bethany Hamilton and how she lost her arm to a shark, yet persevered because of her faith in God to still become one of the best professional surfers of our time. It was a very good movie!
I want to speak about the end of it though. You see when the movie finished the words 'The End…' came up on the screen and I started thinking about this crazy journey I am on with my tribe (S-Squad). However, more words followed this ending: '…is just the beginning.' You see, these words speak VOLUMES to the fact that though our Race, our 11 months come to an end in three weeks or so, it is in fact JUST the beginning for each one of us on S-Squad.
We all have been given specific Kingdom Dreams and we will all be in pursuit of such Dreams as time goes along. We will also all continue to be there for one another, to encourage, push, and move one another into further greatness in Christ Jesus. We are one family, one tribe, one group of men and women of God that Father brought together in a divine attempt to move us all forward and to get us mobilized so we can turn around and begin mobilizing others for the Kingdom of God.
It is in this sense that I know that when August 31st comes along and we touch down in New York that though 'The End' strolls up on the credits of our Race, this will in fact be '…just the beginning' for all of us on S-Squad.
Stay tuned for my next blog (possibly poem) about a rattling train and the pitter-patter of rain.
