My goodness…the time has come to head to Cali and worship with a close friend and be filled by Holy Spirit goodness. Then on Saturday is the day I meet up with my squad and head out to Guatemala. Sooooo CRAZY!!!
On Sunday, my pastor spoke about The Great Blondin, who was an amazing tightrope walker of the late 1800s and even walked across the Niagra Falls numerous times. (check out the video)
One part of the video says Blondin asked the crowd if they ‘believed’ he could walk a wheelbarrow across the Falls with someone in it and everyone cheered and said yes. Then, he asks who would want to be that man and the crowd got completely quiet…crickets chirping quiet. One man finally steps up to be the one in the wheelbarrow.
Christ asks Peter this very question when He asked him to step out of the boat and out onto the water, or into the wheelbarrow. Now, I have the privilege of heeding Christ’s invitation and being that one who steps forward to be ‘in the wheelbarrow’ on this journey to bring His Kingdom and love to the nations…it’s a little nerve-racking, but I trust and cleave to Christ with a passion that is never wavering.
Now, who else will step forward and be next?? Will it be you?? Or you even??
It’s worth every shaking bit across the perilous line over the Falls…take a deep breath and step out of the boat, never looking away from Him…
