In the Studio
Today, Saturday, May 7th 2011, Teams Daybreak and The Cavalry got a unique opportunity to help in the recording of a Swahili Christian song. We got to sing the chorus for a song that worships God.
The chorus goes like this:
Uwabudiwe uhimidiwe wewe ndiwe mungu!
(We worship You, we magnify You, You are God!)
Uwinuliwe utukzwe wewe ndiwe mungu!
(You are exalted, You are glorified, You are God!)
We got to sing in threes and then Patrick, the producer (a different one from our contact), orchestrated it with his studio that it all came together. It was beautiful and I'm super proud of my teammates and squadmates for stepping up and singing!!
Personally, I was elated and excited for this opportunity and loved the fact that I got to be recorded on a Kenyan Christian album; even though, you may not be able to hear me specifically, the thought of knowing I got to be involved in a work that gets to glorify God whenever someone hears it is amazing!!!
Thank you Daddy for an opportunity such as this and I hope and pray that I'll get to do it again someday, maybe even again here this month!! Thank you, also, for getting to see a side of the music industry I didn't think I ever would, as in the producing side and all that goes into making the songs we love and enjoy! Super awesome!!
Well, other than this exciting bit, we've just done some home-cell small group teachings, house to house time once and preached one Sunday!! All and all a pretty exciting time, especially because we get to get closer as a team, as well as with Team Daybreak! I love how God works! Love you all and many blessings!! 😀
