Heartbreak

You hear about it from afar,
No way can you teleport by car…
An earthquake of massive magnitude
With waves to follow, aggressive in attitude.
Haiti last year, New Zealand a month ago,
Now Japan devastated by earth's tectonic flow.
Lives lost, men, women and children,
Worse than any war, no one can win.
Images of fire on water pass across my eyes,
The strongest of the strong now cries,
Oh Daddy, how the heartbreak
Of lives lost to waves and the earth's shake,
Yet neither may I blame you
For your Word rings true…
"I will NEVER leave you NOR forsake you"
Oh Lord, comfort and console the troubled hearts,
Give them peace and comfort to all their parts.
JESUS, my heart shatters for the people,
Those lost to a rumble and grumble of steeples.
My GOD, YAHWEH, please, please rain your grace,
Let the lost see your face.
Your heart for the nations, you weep with passion,
You don't care about the latest fashion,
But of the people's brokenness
And their unspoken-less
Dreams and loss of life
Oh Daddy, why the strife?
I hear your tears fall on the tin-roof,
You sob, hit in the chin-POOF!
Even now, people complain of things to be done,
Yet all just happened, give some time for the Son!!
I ask, implore, plead for your Spirit
To breathe over these places, don't let them fear it!
Yes, Abba, let your truth and grace rain down,
For the world needs faith in your crown.
Jesus, Jesus, JESUS,
Pick up the pieces
Of the worn-down towns
As men weep while the world drowns,
For the earth rings with a quake
While your heart breaks!

*Written just now, as I hear, read and watch the deastation of the earthquake and tsunami waves in Japan, with countless other places in warning mode of possible tsunami waves hitting. Strange that I could write this so quickly, but I believe it is the Father's heart that weeps for the people lost already from these devastations. I watched one video and people were commenting that instead of praying that things need to be done, when if they look the devastation of the video was LIVE and you can't just all of a sudden do something when things happen that quickly. The one thing that holds true, though, is prayer and it's power is something I have learned and stepped into during these first 6 months of the Race. To be honest, those people complaining about other praying…what are you doing right that instant?? You're complainging over someone DOING something that is powerful and true. Instead of complaining about others praying, maybe you need to fall to your knees and pray for yourself and your own forgiveness for thinking that God won't hear the prayers of His people all over this world!! My heart and prayers go out to those in Japan and other places affected by this tragedy, as well as to those in New Zealand still picking up the pieces from the earthquake last month.

This really does hit home though, I know of brothers and sisters with family in Japan and know many other brothers and sisters that may or may not be affected by tsunami waves in Philippines, Guatemala, New Zealand and even the States. It's crazy to think about and shatters my heart.

I implore you, yes, YOU reading these words, pray right now wherever you are for God's mercy and grace for yourself, your family and friends, and for the people of this world stuck in dire situations. You don't have to bow your head, you don't have to be on your knees…just begin the conversation with Him and let Him know how you feel and what you need…He's waiting for you!!!!!!!

Finally, listen to this song from United Pursuit Band called 'Story of Grace'. His grace and love are real…rest in them!
