A Rattle & A Sway
The overnight journey to Bangalore
With a rattle and a sway
On car B-4 of Northern Railways
Along the trail of the blue jay.
Hear the pitter-patter of the rain,
The grace of God flows down
Upon the metal bullet on tracks-
Perfect contentment with a noun.
So, thirty-four hours along miles of rail,
To await the sights and sounds of a new city
On an 11 month/ 11 country Race
To bring compassion and not pity.
Sea sickness without the sea
As near impossible to walk straight,
But okay for The One still true,
His Name ever so great.
Yes, the pitter-patter of tears
As the beauty of creation swishes by
And His love and hope become apparent
With every rattle and sway as the Kingdom draws nigh.
My crazy self on the train
The train. Not the part we were in though.
This is just a fun little poem I wrote after our train ride. So ridiculous!! My next blog will be riveting, so stay tuned! 😀
