A Conglomerate of Praise

Daddy, my God, my King, my Savior, glory be to Thy Name,
Yesterday, today, and forever–always to be the same.
Lost in the mire, I fell from the wire,
Yet you caught me, told me to open my eyes and see–
See the grace that covers me with love,
Holy Spirit power fell from above.
Lord, so beautiful, all we need, desire
I turn my eyes to your Holy Fire.
Show me more and more, My Lord,
Grant me the wisdom to yield your sword!
I love, praise, and honor you,
I lift you up, oh so True!

For now, no more to sell Jesus,
As if He were a bag of Reeses,
instead bring Him to the people–
Get them out of their steeples.
A BIG and limitless God, impossible to explain His ways
And categorize His character, even on the best of days.
In Him, faith doesn't men no doubt,
Rather step through and overcome the drought
For a sovereign God places angels around us!
He rocks! Real presence evident in life's caress,
While His creation reflects a vastness so unreal
And incomprehensible love, perfect and ideal.

Yes, Abba, we believe in love and hope for,
You, our creator of sunsets, we praise you more!
Oh author of creativity (abstract, intangible),
The designer of landscape, so tangible,
And the architect of the heavens, for your bride, your wife–
We choose to eat of the tree of life!
Our God, Holy be Thy Name, no other can go before you,
We will worship you with all of our lives, 'tis true
And never stop the mission, the race set before us,
Instead we praise and thank you with all our beings, we engress.
Oh Abba, Father, we cleave to you with all passion,
We love you and adore your compassion!

Lord of righteousness, so wonderful–
So amazing, how we ponder full
Thy mercies and grace, Godd full of love
You send us your Son from above.
Faithful to the end, even when men fail
With faithless action to no avail–
And yet…and yet you desire us still;
Hence, why you pressed up the hill–
Of Calvary's stares, set to weigh the cost
To bear the sins of the world, to exhaust
Your breath and tears for men…
Oh, Daddy, we PRAISE you, AMEN!!

*On March 10, 2011, I had my teammates and squad leader (Scotty) write out three lines that glorified and praised the Lord of Hosts. On that night, I took those three lines and wrote this conglomerate of praise from their lines and my own, as well as during a prayer Lindsay prayed one night. The Lord put it on my heart to do, in order to do worship a little bit differently and not contain worship within a box. It was an amazing thing and I loved it! Will probably do more of it at some point. I love writing for the King of Kings!! 😀
