After allready a full two days of travel, in which we had a full night lay over in LA, hung out with Lindsay and Daves family (who spoiled us with love, food and supplies), I was back in the airport ready to continue on, the 5 day, 5 countries and 80 plus hours of travel it would take to get from the DR to Cambodia.
It was then that One of the greatest tragedies known to man occured.  It has taken me this long to process the pain and loss that I suffered.  All my life Japan has been calling me and for 2 brief hours, I sat in the Tokyo airport, so close, yet so far.  “Oh Tokyo,  How I love thee. I know one day we will see each other again.”  As my heart broke into a million little peices,  I boarded the plane… and mourned the loss of one of my great loves. .

Okay all drama aside… and really it is just that lol.  What does one do in the Tokyo airport when your facing what may be the only glimpse of what your longing for well let me show and tell a little for you….

First of all, you need to experience the bathroom and remote control toliets, complete with flushing sounds to drowned out other noise, and the built in beday that sprays with speed and tempature adjustment.  Next its only natural to become a japanese Kung Foo Master with your team mate.

After that you find as many random items that you can.  Like bobble
animals, Asian print everything, so pretty! Facebank (which is a motorized face piggy bank that eats your coins) So creepy!   But then the ultimate must thing to do in Japan, is to grab your WRBBFF (world race boy best friend forever)  *Side note Amanda on the squad used this term, as anyone who knows me knows abreviations are not my fortay.   With your WRBBFF you feast on delicious, you cant find it anywhere like this, sushi.  Yes tasty melt in your mouth plum and mint, avocado, and all the wasabi the roof of your mouth can handle.
Now after the sushi, the many many fun random items, oh did I mention, strawberry cheesecake flavoured kitkats, you finish up your Tokyo Airport experience, with your team celebrating Benny’s 25th Birthday…
