Definition: A time where both genders are away from each other and have time to talk over things and spend time in brotherhood and sisterhood.
This definition I had to come up with, but this is what AIM decides to call the weekend the guys are away from the girls… gender time. Last weekend was our first “scheduled” gender time, and it was incredible! All the guys, including David (Ministry host), went to Manzini and stayed at a backpackers hostel called Legends. It was great to just spend time with the guys and talk about how we are doing, and just hang out.
Tuesday: It was Luis, Parker, Mathew and I went to the prison, and the rest of the guys stayed back to rest and pray. Mathew and I were in charge of worship, and the other guys were in charge of the message. It was so cool… there were about 80 prisoners in the room, and all of them were so interested to hear from us, and hear us sing. After we were done, all of them were able to stay back in the room and ask for prayer, so we had the opportunity to pray for so many of the prisoners. It’s been so cool seeing God work through the prisoners and through us in the past couple of months. Can’t wait to see what God has in store!
Wednesday-Thursday: We were at savemore (gas station) for these two days building more relationships. Played cards with the mechanics, became good friends with a lady who sells muffins, fed the people of savemore, and showed God’s love to many more.
Friday-Saturday: These were the days we were doing “gender time”…
Sunday: Madison, Mathew, Malia and I led worship at David’s church and Cauy helped with the children’s ministry. Loved helping leading worship, and loved hearing a sermon in English haha. I provided a youtube video link for one of the songs.
Please continue to pray for me and my team/squad as we enter our last month here in Swaziland… thank you.
