To the girls who play violin…

You are definitely unique and very incredible individuals.

When I first started teaching you in your class,

I will admit it was difficult.

You girls would talk in your language,

But then you would always make sure to bring it back to English for my sake.

I appreciated your commitment to come and play everyday,

It reminded me of being in your shoes once.

I can’t count the number of times you guys perfected a song,

Or the number of times you would laugh trying.

And on our last day together…

You girls played a song I just gave you that day.

I felt so honoured to be a part…

Of your fun little group.

When you girls would hug me at the end of class…

It made me feel like I was actually doing something.

You girls helped me see how fully invested I can be…

In a ministry God put out in his hands… just for me.

I would have never… ever… thought that

I would become a violin teacher for ministry.

But I guess you girls helped me see how important it was.

To you, and to God who made music a part of worshiping him.

And by the end of this month in South Africa…

You helped me become a more confident violin teacher.

You girls are the best…

And I can only imagine where God will take you with your talents.

So thank you…

To the girls who play violin.
