Friends, family, coworkers, and everyone in between!
You’ve probably heard by now that I am dedicating 9 months of my life to serving across the world- with an organization called The World Race (Gap Year.) I wanted to send out personal letters to help share more about my trip and to gain support!! Yay!
This coming September, I will head out to Georgia where I will spend two weeks preparing for my trip with what the racers called “launch.” After launch, I will be heading to Costa Rica where I will spend roughly 3 months working with local churches & ministries. Here, I will be partnering with locals to teach team sports, teach ESL, children’s ministry, and leading churches. We will also be helping out in the community in any way that we are asked. After our time there, I will go to Romania where I will also be working with a local ministry to distribute bibles in native languages, and work in community outreach which includes passing out eyeglasses to those in need. My last destination will be Cambodia! We will work with our base to rebuild homes, churches, schools, and communities as a whole.
With all of this, my main goal is to spread love, peace, and hope to those who yearn for it.
MY CALLING
This will be my first multi-country mission, as my first two missions were in Ichmul, Mexico. Spending my time in Mexico really opened up my heart and showed me a passion that I never knew I had. I firmly believe that missions is my calling, as it is what I love to do. Everything from evangelism, teaching english, playing games with the most loving kids, hearing the inspiring testimonies of locals, building forever relationships, and rebuilding the community. I have made relationships with my family in Mexico that I still communicate with to this day.
