It’s raining in Ohio today. No surprise there.

I actually love rainy days, they force me to slow down. On a day like today, you can expect to find me sipping on coffee all day and sitting by a window. And thinking. Thinking A LOT.

Today while sipping on my coffee, I’m reflecting on one question: who am I becoming?

Bob Goff writes, “Every day, God invites us on an adventure. It’s not a trip where He sends us a rigid itinerary, He simply invites us. God asks us what it is He’s made us to love, what it is that captures our attention, what feeds that deep indescribable need of our souls to experience the richness of the world He made. And then, leaning over us, He whispers, ‘Let’s go do that together.’”

Bob Goff also writes, “When Jesus invites us on an adventure, He shapes who we become with what happens along the way.”

I hope I’m becoming the kind of person who gives love away like I’m made of the stuff. I hope I’m becoming the kind of person who relishes in the freedom that Jesus offers. I hope I’m becoming the kind of person who laughs without fear of the future, because I trust the One who holds my future. I hope I’m growing in authenticity, patience, selflessness, love,  and grace. I hope I’m becoming someone who says YES to every adventure I’m invited on.

I tend to get stuck on the person I used to be. But 2 Corinthians 5:17 says “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” So, today I’m trying to rejoice in the person I’m becoming.

I have been completely shocked, humbled, and OVERWHELMED by everyone’s generosity. The donations, encouragements, and love I have received so far have left me speechless. I never ever would have expected to be met with such warmth. My jaw dropped when I saw how close we are to reaching my fundraising goal!!! Thanks for helping me go on this adventure. Thank you for shaping the person I’m becoming! My heart is feeling swollen!!!!!!
