We are one month out from the trip and I could not be more excited. This week we got our teams, which is just our squad split up into smaller groups to be more intentional with each other, and our daily devotionals. I know God is all over this trip already because I just had my first call with my team and it is very obvious God knew who he was putting together. I’m so thankful for all the people who have donated, prayed, and supported me so far. The amount I am at is just from the pork butt fundraiser, and donations. I have already learned so much just from deciding to go on this trip. I am more aware of a lot of things, one being that when God is at work, satan is too and he is working hard to steal, kill and destroy a lot of things and joy people have about this trip. However, I know God works harder. I still have lots of money to raise, and prepping to do over the next month, but one thing I, and i’m sure everyone on my team could use prayer for is guarding our hearts and minds as we will be so tempted and discouraged over this big decision to go out and spend such a long time on missions. Along with safety, we will be under some more strict rules because of covid so prayers that that isn‘t able to take any joy out of any of this. A lot of people think that this would be the worst time to go out on a trip like this with everything going on in the world, but God has shown me in so many ways that it is the best time. Now is not the time to be silent and i’m grateful for the opportunity to speak and show the love of God in such a way. I can’t wait for what is to come and all the lives God will change along the way, including mine.
