Why the World Race?
When asked this question I tend to think too much into it as I do with many things in my life but I keep coming back to one thing and that is what if? I am a HUGE what if person and up until last year I let the what ifs in my life take front seat. What If I wrecked my car, What if I’m not good enough, what if everything falls apart at once and I can’t fix it. It wasn’t until I started praying about the World Race and asking God for guidance that God answered my prayers by asking the same question I’d been asking him. What If? What if I give everything I am to serve an all-knowing God. What if I focused on strengthening my relationship with him, while loving on his children all around the world and letting myself see him reflected in the people I meet around the world.
Growing deeper and closer to the love of Christ is something that I strive for and often fall short of, as many humans do, but I believe that is one of the best things about being a christian, I am undoubtedly loved, God loves me even when I mess up or am not the “perfect” christian. Having the opportunity to share the knowledge of that love around the world is amazing and I am reminded daily of Gods goodness and love as I continue to meet more of my squad mates and see who they are as people and how God has moved in each of their lives, and how we together will spread the good news of the Gospel. My Why is my What If.
