After almost an hour of consideration of the title, my friend Julia and I decided that it was the most appropriate. It also happens to be one of our favorite songs, and very fitting for the situation! Thank you to everyone who gave me title ideas. I promise they will be used in the future 🙂

These past couple of days have been a rollercoaster of emotions for me. I’m feeling excited, nervous, scared, so many different feelings! Although my heart has been struggling with all these goodbyes and uncertainty, it has only helped me lean into God more. I’m learning to put my trust in Him over anything else.

Now to the news!

Surprise! We are now going to San Jose, Costa Rica!!

I completely forgot to write a blog when plans changed the first time around, so double change! With covid restrictions, our team was planning on just going to Nicaragua. The first six weeks, we were heading to Palacaguina, Nicaragua, and the last six weeks were going to be in Ometepe Island, helping out at an orphanage. I must admit I was pretty bummed when I found about the change. I have a huge passion for kids and was so excited to be with those kids in Ometepe. But as many of my friends and family have reminded me, this change happened for a reason. God is so much bigger than I can imagine, and His hand is in everything. I’ve found comfort and peace through this. God has been teaching me SO much through the change. I’m learning to let go of the little control I have and surrender it to Jesus. Although my team may not know exactly what we’ll be doing in Costa Rica, I give my worries and let myself trust the Lord with my whole heart. His plan is so much sweeter than anything I could ever hope for.

So, YAY! Costa Rica! Hopefully I see some sloths!!

Please continue to pray for protection as well as the hearts of my team and I, as we launch in 2 days!!

So exciting!!

Much love,
