Hi! My name is Kara and I am from Greensburg, PA! I am going to be a sophomore software engineering major at California Baptist University in Fall 2021. I live about 45 minutes from Pittsburgh and let me tell you, it is amazing. My favorite things about Pittsburgh are the sports. I am a HUGE Penguins fan, Steelers fan, and Pirates fan (when they aren’t embarrassingly terrible) haha. Also I have to say WE ARE if there are any Penn State fans out there. Besides sports, I really love anything Spanish related especially current music and TV shows. My job is also something that I love. I get to work on and fix all sorts of broken Apple products. It is perfect for my future career.
In the future, I hope to use my major and my love for servings others to come up with awesome new technology for third world countries. One of my dreams is to be able to create inexpensive solar panels for families without electricity. I can’t wait to see what this trip will teach me about myself and my future.
