Super Big and exciting things have been happening this week. Decisions have been made, hard but good decisions. I have felt the Lords presence and guiding as I leaned into his promises and waited on His answers of “where next God?” For 24 hours I really wrestled between two places. Central America or Africa. Truth is I have always wanted to go to Africa but ever since going to Guatemala in the Summer of 2019, Central America has completely stolen my heart and I really feel like that’s where God wants me to be. So with that being said, I am so beyond excited for this next adventure that God has placed in front of me. In January of 2021, I will be headed to Central America!! I will be going to two of the same countries and adding a new one!! My first month I will be working in Honduras. In Honduras some of the ministries include, working in a special needs home, and also working with kids (my personal favorite 🙂 ). My second month I will be headed to Nicaragua. In Nicaragua some of my ministries include, manual labor, kids ministry, discipleship, and teaching English!! And to end my trip I will be spending my last month in Costa Rica. Some of my ministries in Costa Rica include, agriculture, manual labor, kids ministry, and evangelism!!
I am so beyond excited to see how the Lord is going to work through my new team and I on this trip and I also can’t wait to see new parts of Central America and speak Spanish!! As it says in Deuteronomy 31:8, “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” I have felt that more this week than ever. I am thankful for a God that never leaves and walks alongside of me as some decisions seem tough.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out and let me know they were praying for me as I made my decision. I am thankful for such an amazing community!! I ask for prayers as I anticipate my trip in January that God prepares my heart even more and equips me for HIS greater work! I also ask that as I am placed into this new team that I can begin to get to know my teammates and create long lasting friendships!!
