Planning ahead.

Is that even a real thing anymore in 2020?  I wish I could say that I knew exactly where I was going to be, come January 22, 2021. Will I be in training camp preparing to leave the country for three months, or will I be starting college?  I cannot give you either of those answers confidently.  I can confidently say that God knows exactly where I am going to be, come this spring,  Even before He laid this trip on my heart those many months ago, He even knew what the world was about to go through when I applied to the World Race last spring.  Although my vision of the next few months is unclear, my trust in God’s plan is unwavering.  Now, do not get me wrong,  my logistical mind would absolutely love to have a plan set in stone, but the Lord tells us that having a plan is not where we will have peace.  Isaiah 26:3 says, “You keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”  My faith in and relationship with God gives me the strength to have peace despite these unpredictable circumstances.

As God uncovers bits and pieces of His plan over the next couple months, I want you to be informed since I have invited you along this journey with me in prayer and support. As of October 6, World Race Semesters is still hopeful about being able to launch our trip in January. One of our three destinations, Costa Rica, is now open to Americans! Of course, travelling to one country, let alone three, is not going to look like it did in the past. Lots of strategies and research is going into our trip right now. A more definite decision will have to be made by the end of November when it would be time to book flights. Anyway, that is what God has revealed so far, so now we wait peacefully in God’s will. As Jesus said, “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done.”
